There are a select type of receipt printers available for The Microsoft Retail Management System. StyleTeks recommends the Epson line of receipt printers for a lower total cost of ownership, design, and overall footprint (size).

Epson TM-T88III Thermal Receipt Printer
Cost effective. Fast; 25% faster then its predecessors. Easy to use. And quiet. This printer is ideal for high-volume retail environments requiring reliable and timely transactions. The Epson TM-T88III comes in several configurations to meet your POS requirements. Choose from a USB, Parallel, Ethernet, or Serial interface. Never replace printer ribbon, since this printer does not require it.

This model is available in white or black depending on your decor and other POS peripherals. Epson also provides a 2-year manufacturers warranty.

Other Receipt Printer manufacturers are compatible with the Microsoft Retail Management System, including impact printers. However based on the construction, speed, and reliability of these receipt printers, they are the only ones we recommend. Retailers with existing receipt printers in place, other then the ones listed on this page, can most likely use the same printers without making an unnecessary investment into a new model.
